Fund raising to purchase new
equipment for the play area has got off to a good start. The
project team is actively applying for grants and sponsorship from local
businesses as well as local fund raising. PLAY was very pleased to
qualify for a £5,000 grant from Surrey County Council with the help of
County Councillor Helyn Clack, kick starting the project. PLAY was
proud to win one of the two top £1,000 grants from the Barclays Let's
Do It Competition run through the Dorking Advertiser.

enjoyable, it raised over one thousand pounds for PLAY and did much
for the publicity of the project.
The quiz at the Plough Inn on 19 November 2008 raised
more money for PLAY. Sarah at the Plough generously
provided the supper and organised the quiz.
